Using the same criteria listed below creativity, costuming, and difficulty judge these two elephant acts. The same anonymous rules apply. Use 5 as the best score in each of the 3 criteria and l as the lowest score. Some people are animal people, some aren't, some are more knowledgeable then others on the arts, and some may just be familiar with circus as a whole. Remember it doesn't matter if you know them, or they are your friend, and you can't be affected by the crowd, or reactions or not from the Royal Family.

Wade, before I vote, I would like to point out that as the regular blog readers know, I am a feline person, not a horse person. Everything I know about horses I learned here, sometimes painfully making a fool of myself. (Remember the "calico horse?") But I have learned, and continue to do so. A friend of a friend told me that one of her horses was a paint, and I asked "Tobiano or Overo?" After looking at me in stunned silence, she answered Overo, and proceeded to describe her spots. The point is, we all learn from this blog, and we all have something to contribute. We owe you a debt of gratitude for this. I vote for the second act.
Mary Ann
Thomas,
No split numbers please. Either or.
Wade
Wade, this last comment of mine actually belongs under the liberty acts.

Mary Ann,
It doesn't matter what you are partial too. All the judges have their own discipline, and that is of no concern. Look at them using the described criteria individually.
Wade
Mary Ann,
Then you should have sent it there!!!!!! Remember, for an all expense paid 2 week trip to the French Riviera you have assured Festival Officials that you can be knowledgeable fair, impartial, and unbiased. Now vote for each criteria 1 through 5, and quite whining. You have had cocktails, and a double cheek kiss so no it is time to get to work and earn this trip.

Mary Ann,
Don't feel bad. I know nothing at all about felines...
And I bet you shocked the heck out of your friend with the "Tobiano or Overo" remark..
We don't want Wade's head to swell up but it's true, there is lots to learn here if one keeps their mind open...
Quick! Someone grab an ice-pack for Wade's head.......LOL
Jody,
Au contrair. When you have spent half a life time in a world of isolated fantasy, it's not the head it is the neck, from shaking your head in disbelief. Better get duct tape to hold that ice pack on. LOL

No Comments,just the numbers..
Elephant Act #1
creativity: 2
difficulty: 3
costuming : 1
Elephant Act #2 ?
creativity: 1
difficulty: 1
costuming : 1
For the two elephant acts using the same stand 3 for average and this number add or subtracted from, I would vote thusly:
Flavio Togni
Creativity 3
Difficulty 4
Costume 3
For a total of 10(9 average). Because it is basic standard elephant act fare.
Wendell Huber
Creativity 3
Difficulty 2
Costume 2
For a total of 7(9 average). Because there is nothing at all here. The worst was when he had one elephant "share" the banana with the other elephant, ALL THE WHILE INSTRUCTING IT TO!!!
In an attempt at "loving them like my children, and see how they love each other, he has given them human emotions. They either have or are in the process of taking the elephants away from him. Do you wonder why you kind hearted goof. You have made them human in an effort to justify having them.

JUDGING IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE ELEPHANT ACT.
Keep in mind that like Circus performers, we judged on our knowledge of what we were seeing, keeping in mind the honor system of not choosing friends or associates.
Flavio Togni 46
Wendall Huber 36
I liked the dogs mixed with the elephants. Since I had never seen that before it was new to me and I thought very creative.
And again on a training thought I gave difficulty credit for having another species of animals in the ring curb different from the elephants.
