Riz, mask's, armor, blanket's, "costumes" have been appropriate for horse's, since man threw his leg over the first one, as long as the rider is armored/dressed the same. "I wouldn't be caught dead dressed up like I was going trick or treating for a show......" Neither would I, but I have been around cowboy's all my life and I don't recall any of them ever wearing a turban, or alluding to the fact that they did. Fact. A horse wearing a straw hat with a daisy in the hat band is "trick or treat", as well as humiliating just like the palomino "Pegasus" with the dime store wings posted below. Straw hat's and the like are appropriate for donkeys, mules, shaggy ponies or cute little mini's. After all, no General is going to depend on them to carry him into battle. I saw one episode of Mr. Ed when I was a child and never watched it again, ridiculous. But I never missed an episode of Fury and enjoyed My friend Flicka "sometimes." I also didn't like it when Trigger pushed Roy up closer to Dale, but was more then compensated every time Roy whistled and Trigger galloped to his rescue, teeth bared snapping at the bad guys.

Howdy Wade!
Donning battle armor is one thing. My nephew dressed up as Iron Man last year for Halloween and just yesterday he had his Darth Vader Mask out getting ready for Halloween this year.
He got one of those nifty light sabers with sound effects and the mask distorts his voice electronically to sound like Vader.
To each their own. If it makes you happy then so be it. I dont fault you for it.
Like I said. Three things people will never agree on is Religion, Politics and Horse Training.

Jesus, are you that cock-eyed or are you just goofing on me. What quality of horse flesh was you nephew mount on? Cheap wings to depict a "Pegasus" is appealing to you, yet Iron Man mounted on Iron Horse is a joke? It is starting to sound more personal then factual. I bet you are one of those clowns that finds one fact out of a hundred to validate your thinking, ignoring the ninety nine invalidating it. I do fault you for that, whether you are happy or not.

Turban Cowboy, it doesn't make a difference how you are dressed or what costume you decide is appropriate, (TURBAN?) the bottom line is can you carry it off. I did many times to standing ovations with a believable performance and it's called entertainment. Stick to your winged walking around the arena with wings that looked to be glued on or a horse sitting in a bean bag chair. Only those that are competent in their profession can afford to put themselves out to the public in costumes popular at the moment. You my friend have shown no such talent either under costumes or in a turban. I am the one that gets paid for what I do and not one to trundle off to a Horse Expo free gratis just so I can be a "star for a day" and sell a little DVD or whip with a ball on the end to uneducated and unsuspecting audience.
