How many times has "doing it quick/fast been used in defining training skills?

Good turnout at the Club. Cinco de Mayo night, good Mexican food and music.
Afterward in the bar the big topic of conversation was the Carson & Barnes Circus. The highlight of the evening was the antics Cincy and Roy's twins, what a pair of beauties.
On the other hand, right at the crucial point of one of my stories, Dale and Mrs. Riker passed our booth and I overheard him say "I forgot to bring my boots!"

my understanding is that this clyde beatty-trained act (with some help on getting anna may to work with the cats) is that this is the only act that we know of that featured both a lion and a tiger riding an elephant at the same time. there have been several tiger riding elephants and a few lion riding elephants, but has anyone else put both animals on an elephant at the same time?

Jimmy Reynolds was with Cole when the incident with the elephant took place. He said none of the elephant hands were cat men and they had to lead the elephant without backing up, so they didn't know what the cats were doing and it was disconcerting. Allen had to do cause he was the captain. Little hairy.

As an elephant trainer, a CFA, and a horse trainer responded, I assumed I would be able to. And I assume wrong. My censored post:

Buckles,
I assume after the "screw" and tearing down of the arena, that's why they started putting the elephant on her knees. Quick and fast will never be realistically successful in the training of any animal.

Henry Edgar,
Did you not read my response to you on CircusNOspin. We did put the tiger and lion on the elephant together, but there was not enough room for me to ride with them. It mean's nothing, but did Harriett ride with them? From an audience appreciation point of view, standing up free riding with one animal, was better received then a lion and tiger riding alone together. Truth be known, that type of an act is not that popular or well received. Mine was offered free to the producers as I had the tigers and elephants there. Often it was left out of the morning show, to make it shorter, or if they were short of prop men. Henry, we have to give the public what they want.

wade -- as i understood your answer, the lion and tiger did not ride the elephant together since there was not room for both with you also up there. the whole point of the lion and tiger together in harriett beatty's act was the idea of three natural enemies performing together. the trainer standing on the elephants back with a tiger became popular when ggw did it in a ringling spec. after that, for a while, it seemed to be relatively common, and i would think people would not be as excited about seeing a man, a tiger and an elephant in a cage as a man or woman, a tiger and an elephant out of a cage in a production number.

Henry,
The three walked around the ring together. Joyce followed by Solomon followed by Rajah. The audiences have become much more sophisticated and educated today Henry. That's why you could patch up some nonsense quick and make it work, back then. "Natural enemies?" The chances of a tiger going anywhere near an elephant, in the wild or captivity are so slim, to be "almost" nonexistent. A tiger or lion confronting each other less then that. But when you shove a bunch of stuff together "real quick" and let them kick the shit out of each other, "natural enemies" might seem feasible. Henry dear friend, you are a publicist and you are eating you own candy!!!!

Henry,
I suggest also that the trainer standing on the elephants back was popular before GGW and the Ringling Spec, when the training became for sophisticated and they realized they could go up there. When in the world was it "relatively" common?
