The Falcon, selected as the official mascot because of its speed, power, courage, alertness and graceful flight. This falcon was named "Mach 1", the term indicating the speed of sound. The cadet falconers conduct demonstrations on the falcons flying ability at halftime activities at football games and other sports events.
