Buffalo Bill's Wild West In Europe Late 1800's

What an amazing, amazing spectacle Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show must have been.  What's been done in the last 100 years that even begins to come close?

This will sound biased but the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, is a possible contender. I think over 120 horses were used. You know here in Australia, we call Victorian's,'Mexicans', not being derogatory to them, just because they live south of the border. Maybe just a little bit of shit hanging then.

Glenn,
The 2000 Olympics were impressive, but how many of those 120 horses actually were mounted by true horsemen? Or were they jockey monkeys?
When you see old photo's of the Delhi Durbas, Grand Wild West Show's, Hagenbecks deals, Worlds Fairs and Expositions then look at what is done today, you gotta be unimpressed.
Not being derogatory to them??? Of course you are. Nothing wrong with that, which is why you gave Victorians the name in the first place. You know me, Glenn. I am all about political correctness, Chairman/Chairwomen etc. etc. I am probably it's leading advocate. In fact, I have noted a great number of female pilots on airlines, and think it is wrong in 2012 to still refer to the front of the plane where the pilot sits as the "cock pit". So antiquated and 19th century. From now on, I suggest the front of the plane where the pilot sits, in deference to female pilots, be referred to as the "box office."

Be safe, mate

With my British contacts I'm going to secure a meet with Richard Branson and I'm sure with his clout we,I mean you could get it renamed 'The Box office'. I would just like to come for the giggle.
