San Deigo Zoo???

Does anyone have any idea what is going on at the San Diego Zoo? Are these animals part of their show, or is this a new cutting edge mixed species exhibit? I thought Chapultepec was the only zoo still exhibiting dogs? With the use of "Farfan Diamond Mesh" the line between education and entertainment(which is show business, like it or not) has become real muddy in this particular case. Maybe it is an attempt at remaking The Hawthorn Wild Animal Fantasy?

Jack,
Thank you, I assumed it was part of their zoo show. Odd that a lot of zoo folks seem to frown upon a circus show. Oh, wait a minute. That's right, it's unnatural.

Wade,

The Cheetah exhibit at the San Diego Zoo always has a Cheetah and domestic dog on display in the enclosure at the same time. I believe there are 4 to 5 diffrent teams and they are rotated in and out throughout the day.

I think the cheetahs and the dogs are also used during trips to local schools for educational purposes and also for fundraising events around the city and special events and parties hosted at the zoo. They do not appear in the animal chit chat show currently but I believe they have in past years.

At least 4 of the dogs are Anatolian Shepherds and they also have an older big black/dark brown dog who appears to be a lab or retriever mix.
