Sam say's Belle Vue was closed in the 70's but as it is in close proximity to the new Dublin Zoo some of the cages which are still "robust" are occasionally used as quarantine cages. "Robust" translated into Colonial English, means "hasn't gone to shit yet." LOL

I know this may have been pointed out before - all of these photographs are of the old Bellevue Zoo in Belfast.
