Ignorance is usually fueled by an agenda, a patch, or an alabi

"Above is an exhibit graphic from the Franklin Park/New Boston Zoo who has an agenda to explain why they are not breeding their tigers. If they told the truth, that nobody want's them, as there is not enough room in a zoo for new animals, it would contradict their mission of breeding endangered species as a stop gap last bastion to extinction. As damaging as statements like, "he never has to hit them, he only uses his voice to control them", which set's the trainer up for cruelty charges, if he does have to correct something, because it is taken out of context. It always leads to further ignorance, or let's call it misinformation to be politically correct. This is a statement posted on the site that the tiger pictures below were posted on:"

I guess " Genetic Hiccup" is a cute way of saying that you get "rare white tigers" by inbreeding.

The white mutation occurs when two parents ( usually related) with the same resessive gene breed and have offspring. The reason why these "majestic creatures" are "rare" in the wild is simple: wild animals usually avoid mating with their relatives and narrowing their gene pool. it goes against their instincts!

The " White Tiger Sanctuary and Breeding program" mentioned above makes me truely nausiated. These people are furthering the destruction of these animals... not helping it. There are thousands of people who abuse and breed tigers world-wide, forcing "normal colored" tiger parents with the white resessive gene ( usually brother/sister, mother/son or father/daughter combinations) to breed OVER and OVER again, causing the females to be malnourished and in peril of death due to infected uteruses. If the parents produce "orange" cubs, these cubs are killed. Do your research! PLEASE

"We will assume Mrs. Magpie is a "cute name" for an anonymous person. People who think they have something valid to say, will always use a cute name or anonymous to say it. They have an agenda, like the zoo above does, and can be ignored by facts. They pick the bit's and pieces of something they want to hear, which fit's their agenda.

When a child is born with a defect of some kind, either physical or mental, do folks scream "inbred?" No, they are pointed out as the 1 in 10,000. I suggest that the tiger in the photo above, who has become the "poster child" for agenda's and the spreading of misinformation is nothing more then the "1 in 10,000 births which might occur naturally" as the Franklin Park/New Boston Zoo graphic points out. Like a two nosed cow, or a 5 legged sheep, or a human randomly born with a birth defect. In half a life time of breeding and living with white tigers, I have never seen anything remotely resembling the animal depicted."
