What "part" fits an agenda?

An animal rights activist would only see "And how we're all alike." The following statement, "And how we're all a little different" would be completely lost to them, because it doesn't fit the world they are trying to make. Like any narrow minded person, they want to believe it is THEIR world, instead of EVERYBODY'S world.
