Great Bear Wilderness Update--Brookfield Zoo

West Exhibit

Scope: New Bear, Bison, and Eagle exhibits; New Bear and Bison holding buildings; renovate Restaurant and Restrooms.

Current Status:

• Exhibit plantings are ongoing (pictures below)

• Classroom has been roofed and sided

• Bison containment fence posts have been installed

• West Bear pool to be filled and tested next week

Next Steps in Construction:

• Install remaining bear containment doors

• Install public barrier fences

• Finish Rockwork in Middle Exhibit

Estimated completion date: The third week in October
