I hope the scan above is viewable. It is the only one of have of the blueprint for the below flight cage. It is one of the historic zoo blueprints in my private collection.

The aviary still stands. A fenced catwalk goes through it, allowing guests a close view of the free flight Andean condors.
Jef,
Thank you, and welcome. When I went to the Franklin Park Zoo in 1982, it was closed to the public, and in disarray. I managed to sneak through a gate, to take photos of the beautiful old buildings, like the elephant house and antelope house. I recall a "tropic house" that was half finished, and was told that there was a gorilla inside, but it too was closed/chained off.
Wade
Wade, time to visit again! The elephant house is unfortunately gone, and the antelope house is a wreck closed off from the public. The tropical forest is open, and home to a happy family of seven gorillas. The oldest standing building, "A Bird's World" houses a collection of exotic birds. The bear dens, now outside of the new fenceline of the zoo, can be visited by anyone going to the city park: http://urbpan.livejournal.com/902477.html
