Above is Tashas Freddi, who had been allowed to run for two years as he would not be caught. After I caught him, he had to be taught to lead, which is why you see the "be kind" halter on him in the above photo. He was quite a handful as a two year old, but is now responding nicely. Although his paper name is Tashas Freddi, I changed it to Farak the moment I caught him, as I refuse to call a beautiful animal Freddi. I have him on a high protein diet, and this week he will start learning to lunge. We have until June to condition the soup out of him, and hopefully he will be ready to go with our other 5 stallions, and our yearling sweepstakes filly. Fabio will be coming home on Thursday, from the farm he has been at in Georgia, at which time I will start bitting him, and hopefully will be throwing a leg over him by the end of May.
Above is the main entrance at Kenworthy. The home used to have a "unique" protocol back in the day before "political correctness." Only the men used the front door. The women were required to go in the side entrance on the left, and in the picture below. At the end of the front entrance, to the right is my office and connected to the office is what was called the smoking room which has beautiful doored cabinets which used to be filled with fine whiskeys and boxes of Cuban cigars. It was private to only the male guests. The womens entrance leads to the dining room which was where the women stayed, until they were needed for something. The rooms on all three stories are connected by a spiral staircase between the walls which was the only way the slaves/servants could get around the house, as they were not allowed in any of the bedrooms until they were vacated. They were only allowed in the dining room to serve the food after it had been dished up. In the photo below that Taylor took of the black foal you can see a small brick building. It has two fire places in it, and that is where the meals were cooked and carried to the main house to be served. The lower portion is now my tack room, and the upper deck is the feed room. There is a small room on the third floor of the house, below the watch tower which was the nannies room. They were the only ones allowed in the house. Everyone else lived in small "cabins" in what is now the stallion pasture.
Entrance hall at Kenworthy, above. I am getting the stairway carpeted, so ignore the grey runner going up the steps. LOL
We have a new web site with older pictures which we will be updating as new pictures become available:

Wade, so this is the stallion that the cat hangs out with. I wish you the best with him. Again, the house is gorgeous.
Mary Ann
Addendum to Wade, I am so glad that times have changed and now it is the men who stay somewhere, usually in front of the TV watching sports, until they are needed for something.
Mary Ann
Wade, why are there no pictures of the cat?
