I had a wonderful surprise this morning when my lovely son, Taylor drove up from Troy University. He took a few pictures of the babies, below and also took a picture of me in my office appearing to be working hard.
Above is the black baby who's mama declared war on me when he was born recently, and below is a 5 week old filly. She is going to be grey like her mother(who is a Simeon Shai daughter) when she matures. I had Taylor try to take a close picture of her eye, which is starting to "grizzle" or turn grey. I hope you can see it. We will see how she matures, but she may be of no use to me eventually, as we are going to specialize in Black straight Egyptians and Black Al Khamsa Egyptian Arabians.

Wade, great pictures and how nice that Taylor came to visit! The black baby is gorgeous and the house is quite impressive.

You can feel and smell the richness inside. Must be nice. Nice photos.
Mary Ann,
The black baby besides being gorgeous is also quite valuable as it has absolutely no white markings anyplace. They are very prized in the Middle East, particularly Qatar, so this youngster may have to learn Arabic some day.
Wade
Madame Col.,
It has a richness that you are familiar with, as it is very similar to Windborne, or Shenandoah South as it is known.
Wade
Wade, did you read the Black Stallion books when you were a kid?
Mary Ann
Mary Ann,
Not a one. I have never even seen the movie, as it didn't interest me much, but I still retain a fondness for Fury. I have read the Proceedings of the 8th Congress on Equine Medicine and Surgery three times, from cover to cover. Does that count?
Wade
Wade, yes it does, if my riding one of those pony ring deals when I was a little girl counts as riding a horse.
