In an effort to cause heat, as has been suggested, LOL, instead of looking at it as an effort to address/understand issues affecting an industry, I would like to present a thought. Great high school numbers/riders are always referenced back 50 or more years. with rare exception. The greatest factor affecting the art in the circus has been the moving into buildings with a surface not conducive to horses and high school. I wonder if something that was dominated by males, with exception, has in recent times been reduced to "cute and charming" in an effort to appease the AR folks, with less of a demand on quality, and an acceptance of a "look." That also holds true, for elephants, cage acts, and other animal acts. Again with exceptions, is more demanded/expected of a male? It is unanimously agreed the quality is no longer there in animal acts, and yes in private many aficionatos/fans will express, "better to just not have it, then to have what is offered." What sex is predominant today, and why?

No thoughts from anybody?

Wade, in an effort not to put my foot in my mouth, I need to think a bit before replying to this one. A carefully worded question requires a carefully worded answer.
