A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Wade, the third picture is of the finale. We saw the show four times, and we haven't been back to Vegas since the last time, in January 2003. The people whose heads you see are sitting in the VIP pit, between the stage and the passarella. After the finale, bows, and flowers, Roy would shake the hands of some of the people on the right of the runway, next to the stage, in that VIP section. On our last visit, Joe and I were two of those people.

Mary Ann,
If you were smart, you would parlay that story into an illustrious animal training career, complete with weekend get aways with Seigfried & Roy so they could "pick your training brain", and private dinners at the Waldorf.(See helpful tip's on the art of "circus spin" above.) LOL

One of my biggest regrets. Never went to see their act. Heard it was wonderful.......
In 2002 I was in Las Vegas visiting my Aunt and Uncle inbetween shows with Madame Colonel. I had the choice of seeing Siefried and Roy or a more temporary act (that of course i don't remember now, but wanted to see at the time). I opted for the temp act and said that I would see S & R the next time I came back to Vegas. Needless to say... I never did get to see their spectacular show. I consider any who had to be very fortunate, as I was not.
