An anonymous weasel, that is the breed I am looking for sent this comment which I have censored. It was a shot at Bill Woodcock, and they don't have the courage sign their name, but wondered if I have the "balls" to post their comment. That should give you a bit more of a glimpse into how this world of the Circus operates. I like and respect Buckles Woodcock, we just have differing philosophies on some things, as anybody does. I outgrew personal when I was 7. I will not allow an anonymous comment meant to harm or discredit without a name, and the "accused" having a chance to readdress or defend themselves. That is for a back room saloon society, or a Totalitarian Government. Not a Democracy.

Jody,
You should see the ones directed at me. The only reason they aren't directed at other folks on the blog, is that they don't know most of you. If they did, I would be censoring a lot more.
An interesting concept is one that a German site is using. There is an open forum and there is a closed forum where you have to be registered(took me 4 months). The feeling being that folks are afraid to express their true thoughts on an open forum. It is great because it provides more openness for expression without feel of repercussions. Might be the reason why the German Circus's are currently rocking them. Nothing is perfect, but "open discussion", without venom will make it close to perfect.
Loosely translated, here is their mission statement, made up largely of fans public. Performers are afraid of it:
This step was in the summer of 2006 contacting a city administration, due to the sending of information from the Chapiteau.de Forum on the honesty of the two companies began to doubt that they actually had already admitted. And since I have repeatedly stressed that it was not my intention in the slightest, the Circus World harm, was the introduction of the internal division is the only option.
So that the internal area now also brings something really, I would urge you to provide information that you get here, will be kept confidential. Only thus will it be possible here fruitful discussions. Because if you constantly have to be afraid that the slightest criticism of the circus or the person concerned would continue to run, would the discussions here very quickly ebbing and it would be boring. Will you mean?
It is so, nobody here wants to hurt the circus, but it must be possible under his hobby colleagues, including times to be a critical opinion. Everything is good to talk, it can not be, right? Polemical remarks, bullying against absent and slander, I will also here in the field of Internal not tolerate it. - November 12, 2008 at 8:42 AM

How can you criticise or insult somebody you do not know, or have even met. Choosing to remain anonymous but attacking people behind a mask is totaly vicious and uncalled for. I choose to be anonymous because i am a shy person, even thou we work and live in a very public industry. Buckles, Wade. Blogs are absolutly great one and each Serving a different audience,You both should be recomended in making our sometimes tedious days enjoyable.
Thank You Both Very Much.

So everybody understands what Anonymous # 5 means. This individual is someone who works in the industry, and would suffer repercussions if their identity was know. I have assigned so far 5 numbers to individuals who may have something useful to offer. A number has not been assigned to someone we know already, and it will not be. It is for me to know when to filter out anonymous posts for just spite, while at the same time hearing form someone who has "been there, or is there now."

Wade,
Let me see if I understand this,
so now I will have certain "Anonymous Numbers" to keep track of to decide whether they get castrated or not.
Dang, that's more paperwork for me....LOL
Seriously, I do understand if they are working in the business and choose not to use their name if there was a possibility they could lose their job...
BTW, I'm looking for a stall cleaner..... - November 12, 2008 at 4:45 PM
