Studying with respect yesterday, and fixing and advancing to tomorrow

The photo above taken in 1957 tells us that "the white bears frolicking in the water." That may have been so in 1959, with all due respect, but in the photo below taken 2003 this is "how Polar Bears frolic in the water" today.

In the photo above taken in 1959, at a Pennsylvania Zoo it suggests "Ice bears sunning themselves waiting for a pedicure". That may be so in 1959 with all due respect, but they don't need a "pedicure." They have wore their claws down from pacing on concrete. But in the photo below taken in 2003 this is how "Polar Bears sun themselves and don't give a pedicure a second thought in Michigan.

Where is the under water public area? This is very impressive!

I love polar bears and spent almost three years with Ursula's bears around everyday, annoying Manfred asking guestions.

Darryl,
I too love polar bears. I will be forever eternally grateful I got to see Ursula's act. I am just as grateful that I will never see anything like that end up in Mexico. "Three" days before Manfred was killed I was chatting with he and Ursula when they visited Circus Krone. They invited me to come to their training barn and see the new act Manfred from putting together with Brown Bears.
I told them it would be "five" days before I was finished with the gig on Krone and could come, but I sure would look forward to seeing it. The rest as they say is History.

In the winter of 81, Manfred and Ursula took two weeks off to go home. The day they got back, Ursula let all ten bears into the practise cage without Manfred or anyone around. I went over to watch as she chased the bears making them run, telling them how fat they were. Have some photo's I took of this. Just see the top of her head over the bears backs. LOL
