Franz Althoff performed an act with
48-60 horses from 1960 to 65 with
his son Harry Althoff and Carly Bremer.László
Yes, this act started around 1959, when they opened their magnificent "hippodrome circus" tent without quaterpoles. Before that, they used to have three rings of liberty, one of the presenter being Holzmair.
This in the picture I believe being the largest liberty ever presented last century. It was very successful alos in winter seasons in sport halls of Madrid, Paris, Belgium, etc.
It started with 48 reaching 60 in his last year, 1967 (in the last two years presented by Harry Althoff). After that, with the closing of the circus, the act was sold here and there.
Too bad this circus closed the year I was born.

On a more serious note!!! Raffaele, forget animal rights, forget economy and TV/videos. It has come to my attention that you may be the Omen/Anti Christ that started shutting this thing of ours down around 1967. If I find verification your mothers name was Rosemary, I'm getting in touch with Interpol.
