Mental stress leading to physical decline. Is public perception benificial for the animal

The rodeo industry also addressed the issue of Mental stress. Who incorporated the biggest most visual tools? How are they used? What is the result of their usage. What is "perceived" as gentle, and what is in actuality inhumane? Is how a cowboy conducts himself in the arena perceived as gentle/loving? Does the public perception change with the size/physic of the Cowboy. Is public perception different if he is always seen or only appears in the arena. Does he react different in his riding/roping/shifting/moving of the animals when he is isolated. Are the animals alert, aware of their surroundings, interested? Or apprehensive, scared, "shutting out" and isolating themselves from their surrounding? While no industry is perfect, the rodeo has addressed many thing, it did not bury it's head, and strives for that perfection daily.

Wade, who is the fourth presenter? And to whom do the tigers in the last picture belong?

Mary Ann,
I have no idea. I randomly chose photos to address public perception as the rodeo industry has done.

Mary Ann,
The longer and thiner a whip or a stick is the less sever and club like it is. Note the long white one of Alfred Beauteour from yesterday. He doesn't have a need to hide anything. His animals are obviously under no physical or mental duress. I was just addressing, "by voice command alone." Since the day Ringling announced Gunter and the elephants that way, the public has been walking out of the building shaking their head. I don't want to tell you what Joe told me that statement incorporated in reference to you. LOL

Wade, what do you mean? "By voice command alone"? With regard to me? I am the cat that can't be tamed or trained! LMAO.

Mary Ann,
But Joe is. That's why he said you carried a stick. It made the voice easier to understand, so there was no mistake. He also said, you only carried the whip, you never actually touched him with it. LOL
But he gets the message.

Wade, now you've got it. But he gets rewarded. Last night I let him go to a concert with his friends without me. LOL It was a terrible concert and I didn't want to go anyway. We're going to a much better one in two weeks.

Mary Ann,
I see you have the hang of "cute and charming." You are a much better trainer, then we saw. Kudos to you.
LOL

Wade ...... sad, sad, sad - but that lion act is about the standard of what we have touring Australia at the moment!

And even sadder ....,,... the public DO cop it sweet.

Steve,
There is not much available, and if there is nothing to compare to, people are going to assume this is as good as it gets. I think the real reason animal acts are falling out of favor is not so much they are inhumane. I think it is that they do nothing, and have become so so boring. Imagine a juggling, trapeze, etc. coming out and doing something similar.
There are acts available today, that are deemed incredible that wouldn't have gotten a second look back in the 80's-90's.
