A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Ah Fadjur was unbelievable. I don't remember if I ever saw him ridden but for sure I remember one of his last presentations. It was at Santa Barbara and he was presented in most likely his last viewing. They led him in and never have I seen such presence. His neck was curled, he was softly into the bit and prancing in time to the handler's speed. He has huge expressive eyes...I never forgot him.
At this same show I believe I also saw Jene LaCroix show his first horse. He was a little midget on a huge horse, couldn't have been more than 12 or so. I believe horse and rider schooled by Jerry Smola in perfection. He whipped everybody out and never stopped to look back.
