John McConnell, Author of "A Ring and a Clown" an Eight Generation History of the Hannefords and many other circus history books passed away at his Morristown, NJ home on May 17, 2011. Services are scheduled for today May 20th, with viewing at 3-6pm, and services 6:00pm, Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, NJ. John promoted many different theatrical productions and circuses including The Royal Hanneford Circus, The Big Apple Circus and numerous other road shows. He was president and owner of Circus Royale and at time of his death was working on another circus history book. John is survived by his loving wife Dolores, three sons and grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by his family and the many people in the world of circus and friends and fans of the circus.
