Cincinnati Zoo--African Veldt

The Bongo calf above was the result of the first transcontinental embryo transfer, which resulted in a Bongo being born to a common eland. I have and 8 X 10 copy of this photo(as well as the Eland to Eland embryo transfer cow and calf prior) personally autographed in 1985 by Dr. Betsy Dresser hanging proudly in my zoo collection. I understand Dr. Dresser who has been at the Audubon Institute in New Orleans since 2001 is leaving or has left this year.
