Twycross Zoo

In past threads we have discussed the unfortunate Chimpanzee, Cinder who died in 2009 that lived at the St. Louis Zoo. If you recall she had a condition called Alopecia universalis, a autoimmune disease, that also occurs in about 2% of the human population. It now appears that there is a Chimpanzee with the same condition at the Tywcross Zoo in England as indicated by this photo taken this year. Does anyone know any more about this animal?

Now comes the expected "expert commentary". I assume we can look for insight from Jungle Jack also.

"Animal Planet Expert" is the greatest oxymoron since "Peace keeping missile!!!!" The use of the word "moron" in oxymoron defines an "animal planet expert" to a T.

Get ready circus world. That "net arena" which the one news "expert" referred to as a "tent", which was the brainchild of Carlos Farfan, and is used all over the world at almost every zoological park, from Brookfield, to Lisbon, to Germany, as a safe containment for animals from felines to primates, to bears, and has been used successfully since the mid 70's for wild animal acts is now going to be called into question, by every "knee jerk animal rights expert" in the world.

Lion Training

This attack at a Ukrainian Circus is probably the most graphic and vivid recording I have ever seen of an arena attack. The one Josip Marcan has of me getting "downed and browned" by one tiger is candy ass compared to this. I watched it once, and I don't need to see it again, thank you very much. Of great interest is we finally get to see a "fork" in action. My conclusion is, like all tools, from a leash on a dog, to a bit on a horse, to a bull hook on an elephant, it will only be of use to you, if the animal want's it to be of use to you. If not your lunch is getting handed to you promply. I love you very much Adam, keep that in mind and please, please watch your back. My God, are animals not the most impressive thing in this whole wide world!!!!

DHRotterdam Zoo--Bokito's Domain

I note a wire mesh screen, similar to a back stop behind home plate, added to the top wall of the Gorilla enclosure. I don't want to think that is what "Bokitoproof" means!!!
