Hagenbecks contribution to the "Human Zoo."

Some would suggest that the "Human Zoos" of old were nothing more innocent then a Buffalo Bill Wild West Show type of situation. I think the fact that Hagenbeck had a statue of an American Indian and an African Native put on the historical front gate of the Hagenbeck Zoo along with a bear, a lion, and elephants speaks volumes for his intention.
