Joey,
How old is he? He looks like he is up there, or has had a tough life.

Mr Burck

Shenka died 12/23/2007. He was 47 y.o.

He was a true member of the Frank Family who own the Circus Alberti. It's a very heavy lost for this little Show.

Vincent,
Please call me Wade. Thank you for the information. We sometimes get it twisted here in America, and the reverse also happens. I would think that would be a heavy loss for the show. How long did they have him, do you know?

At the end of the 1950th, Walter Frank was wondering if his small Circus will be able to make enough money for his 12 children family. So he decided to save any penny to buy an Elephant. So in 1963 he bought a 3 y.o. bull, Shenka. He asked his son, Frank to take care of him and this was the beginning of a 47 y.o. story!

PS: I went from Switzerland to Evansville for the Shrine Circus last year and I have seen you performing with a big white tigers act. Where is this act now???

Vincent,
So your the one who thought the act ran to long!!! Just kidding, my friend. What I am going to offer next, Casey will call a "patch", because that's what I would call it if he offered validation. So I am going to say "patch" before him. LOL I had lost two valuable animals from the act a month before Evansville, one due to a "European influence", and I had to quick train at least the wheel and the leap over to cover for the lost behaviors, and add 2 new animals to the act. Because of the loss of those animals, and why it happened, I don't have the desire to ever train another tiger. The act is in Illinois. Do you want a job? LOL
I wish we could have had more time in Evansville, but I hope you understand I had a lot on my plate gearing up for my last performance.
Thanks for the information on the elephant. I have always wondered what his history was. Come back again, Vincent.
