The first time I saw Joe was on Cirque Alexandre Bouglione in Brussels, Belgium. When James Puydebois stood on his forehead when Joe was in a sit up, he could have dusted the roof of the big top. Joe looked HUGE. The next time was the same year at Theater Carre in Amsterdam, Holland. Joe still looked enormous, even looking down on him. But somehow he doesn't look quite so big when he's mixed with other elephants in the Krone herd.

As majestic as Joe is, and he is beautiful, he never reach the grandeur of King Tusk.
