John Cooper, who has made a mistake here. You or Henry Pendorff

Mioara Igna.1 - Enchanted Forest, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

The couple presenting the tiger act in the picture titled "Bucarest Globus Circus Company (From Rafaelle de Ritis)", I believe are Mioara Igna and her husband Adrian. They are also Romanian. Mioara Igna is the first Romanian woman to present a cage act in fifteen years. Their presentation is titled "The Enchanted Forest". From the aucirque.com website a closeup picture of Mioara Igna.

Living in a different time zone, rather than having slept late (!) I have only just seen this post. I have seen the photos of the young lady on aucirque.com for sure.
If you think I'm confusing her with Mary Chipperfield, I don't think so. My clue for identifying Mary was the tiger mouth entrance to the cage, but the hair style and costume did contribute to my attempted identification.

Well if the Romanian people have been waiting 15 years to see a female performer, I hope they are as enchanted as the rest of us.

John,
I guess I misunderstood you. I assumed you were saying it was Mary, as I assumed it was a Chipperfield act. I'll bet you a nice spotted dick, the act is/was Mary's. I don't think they would just rent that ugly tiger mask for the festival.

Mr. Burck is attempting to use British terminology for my benefit - for which I thank him.
However, I shall allow him to explain what a spotted dick is.

John,
Come on, don't call me Mister. I don't like that word among friends. I believe it means Michael Jackson with that skin condition. Or am I wrong?
