Ban-Seri My most memorable White tiger.

Paul mentioned he had access to the feature I did in Sports Illustrated. The tiger laying on the beach in front of the "No dogs allowed on the beach" sign is Ban-Seri
Eric "helping" by sweeping the floor with a squeegie.

I wish I still had that issue of Sports Illustrated. Sincerely Paul

Wade-Does that tiger have red eyes like an albino or is that red eye from the camera? Do white tigers' eyes appear red or pink in some lighting? Sincerely Paul M.

That is "red eye" from the camera. I have never seen a white tigers eyes appear red or pink in any lighting. They would have to be an albino. The colors will range from a light auburn to a pale blue around the iris, or "tint's" of blue. The "solid sky blue/robins egg blue" that is often seen in pictures, paintings, or Las Vegas publicity photo's is something I have never seen in person.

Wade: Thank you for that. I read that the white gorilla's eyes appeared pink in certain lighting. I have only ever read that in one book and the book is no longer in the library. It was an older book I think on gorilla behavior. I think that when the albino koala from the San Diego Zoo was on the Johnny Carson Show it's eyes appeared blue at times and at other times pink, but maybe I was mistaken. Sincerely Paul McCarthy PS I can't remember my sign in code.
