My first born son, Adam. Not #1 son, as he jokes to his brothers

When the boys were growing up, I talked to them about fame and fortune. Adam chose fame, and the other two chose fortune, and became "townie". I am very proud of what Adam has done. We don't discuss how he should do the act any more, because I "don't know what I am talking about". Has that happened to any other fathers or am I an exception? My point of view is, "I'm not telling you how to clean your room, I telling you how to stay alive." LOL I do admit he does much better with out me helping, now that knows what to do. I make him nervous, and he makes me nervous. I don't think I took chances like that, but people remind me that I did. I am so proud of my 3 incredible boys.

True story -
I saw Adam with his act in Wichita last weekend at the Midian Shrine Circus. It was a nice show and one always must enjoy the flaming hoop stunt. I remember thinking, "Is this the son of the great Wade Burke?" lol. Nice job Adam.

Ryan,
I am having a hard time grasping what you said. Please clarify. Are you saying he did a nice job? Are you saying he isn't comparable to me 30 years later? Poor Mark Gebel used to hear that all the time in reference to his father. Wait a minute, you mentioned one time on Buckles Blog, about seeing me when you were very young, right? Now you are seeing my son? THAT WAS A SHOT AT MY AGE!!!! Did I read it it right, Ryan. Welcome glad to have you here.

I apologize for the confusion. I have never seen your presentation Wade, for I am young, but I have greatly enjoyed your stories. Yes, Adam did a nice job with his show. My point was that when I read his name in the program (spelled Adam Burke) I was curious as to whether there was a relation. Being the son of an elephant trainer, I have great respect for the family tradition (especially when combined with the circus tradition). I am not familiar with tigers like I am elephants, but it would seem that one of them was a little rowdier for him than the others, lol. I have enjoyed your stories Wade, so please keep up the good work.

Ryan,
Would you quit going there with the "I was too young to ever see you work" deal. "I wanted to go see you so bad, but nobody would take me" would be bettr. LOL Who is your father and mother Ryan? I thought you were a "townie". I would have been more respectful, if I had known you were a "show bum".(don't you just love that label) Lol

Ryan,
I sure wish you had gone and introduced your self to Adam. He would have enjoyed meeting you.

Now Wade, let's not get too full of ourselves! Just kidding. My father is Mark Easley, he was previously the elephant manager at Riddle's Elephant Sanctuary in Arkansas. I rode my first bull elephant at five days old, and have been infatuated with them ever since. I grew up as a zoo kid, but always enjoyed our trips to the circus! In hindsight, I too wish I had introduced myself, but those stinkin' two tailed animals had my attention during the intermission (in addition to the pretty showgirl they had; I believe she is Jorge Barreda's daughter). Lol

Ryan,
You dog!!! That lovely young lady is pretty well bred. She has Lou Jacobs, the famous clown on her damns side(bottom), and Jose Barrada one of the great Lion Trainers of the past generation on her sire side(top). Ryan, are you sure you didn't just like how she smelled?
Give my best to your father.
