A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

I'm not sure if you got the last comment because an "error" appeared when I hit submit. So sorry if this is a duplicate.
I was looking forward to seeing Adam's act this year, it was being promoted by the shriners. But when I got there I found that the big cat act was replaced by "two motorcycles going through flaming hoops." I was not amused.
Take care,
Logan
Logan,
Tell that to John Herriott. He hates motorcycle globe acts. But he flips his hypocritical statements/beliefs so conveniently that that news will probably make his day. "Did you hear they didn't use Wade Burcks son for that shrine date? That's because the Shriners are smart and have been in the trenches for 60 years, and they know the public wants one of those great globe acts that everybody loves, and we should have more of them. Not these bullshit cage acts that are around today, with bullshit hindleg walks and sit ups". LOL Welcome to the world of "what the hell are you talking about, Logan" Make sure you have a big bag of salt, because you will be "dosing" your self quite often, unless you are a pretender too.
Wade
Hi Wade,
As much as I hate globe acts, I'd rather had a globe act then what they provided. It was literally two, 2 1/2 foot ramps and the bikes went through a hoop of fire that was probably 8 feet by 10 feet. The woman next time even said "What happened to the cats, this is stupid by 9 year old can do that trick on his dirtbike."
Logan
Logan,
You don't like that act, Show biz Dave doesn't like hula hoops, John Herriott doesn't like the new cat acts, he won't address why there are no high school acts in the American Circus, yet everybody had an opinion of what the public wants, and what the shows need to restore it back to the glory of the 1930's. I keep telling them just restore it to the glory of the 1970's, that was pretty neat. But they won't listen, and the want to go all the way back to the 1930's, and I don't think we have that much time, Logan.
Wade
What year was this picture taken? Is that Tony's orange sister Obie?
