A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

I have never seen this trick done. Was it common or would that help to identify?
Radar,
It seemed to be a more common behavior in European circus's, as I have seen older acts from there doing this or something similar. The photo was "identified" as "Lou Regan" which I know for a fact isn't. There was a trainer on Clyde Bros. shortly before Lou, I think named John Smith who wore boots and jodphers, put I never say pictures of him with one of the French Foreign Legion deals on his head. Also, I don't think Clyde Bros. ever had a 5 act. It may have been an independent act hired for dates. I really don't know.
