A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Didn't Eloise have only one female? Would that be her pictured? Not much of an anchor elephant; Thai is chained to the van in front. No hardware on the second animal. Looks to be pretty relaxed too, carrying her hay as she goes along.
Radar,
What was the name of the one female Eloise had? An anchor elephant is often along "just in case". Like an "anchor" on a boat, it doesn't have to be used, but it it is there if the need for it arises.
