Blue Horizons is Las Vegas goes to Sea World. Don't learn anything but it is entertaining. They're using a few different birds now but probably the same routine. The Sea Lion show is the same pirate story and the Killer Whale show just isn't the same without trainers in the water. The two shows I'd see are Blue Horizons and Pets Ahoy, the indoor dog and cat show.

Jim,
Isn't Pets Ahoy an "independent" show, separate from Sea World staff and trainers manned by Joel Slaven and staff? I met Joel a couple of years ago in Ohio. He is awful talented with "domestic's". Reminds me of my brother Mike. He can get a dog to do anything short of sing the National Anthem. Bobby Cline, guess where Joel got his feet wet in the animal training world?

You are correct. Dogs, cats, pigs, and rats and a few birds. Cute little story and the animals work well and quickly. I've seen several shows and only one where one dog (new animal) need a little on stage training that was handled well.

A Jungle Larry alum?

Jim,
Correct, a JL alumni. Years ago, Thousand Oaks was considered the "Earth Mother" for animal trainers and other animal professionals. I think if a real good study was done on Jungle Larry's African Safari, you would find as many, if not more came out of the hallowed jungle in Naples and Cedar Point. For nothing else it would be an incredible read.
