For Jim Stockley

Detroit, Mich. 1893

We have discussed in the past the popularity of the name "Wallace" for a ferocious, untamed, man killing lion back in the day. I don't know what show this is, but either they misspelled "Wallace" making it instead "Wallack" or it was their effort not to copy someone else, odd because it was never much of an effort in the world of show business.

With reference to your comment on Wallace as a lions name. You talked about Thomas Crouch in a previous comment. He was my husband's great grandfather. We know some information about him such as him rescuing Beaumont from a lion, but I wondered if you had any more information on him?

You talked about Thomas Crouch in a previous comment. He was my husband's great grandfather and we are trying to find out more about him, we knew that he rescued Beaumont from the Lion, but we have no more information. We would also like to know about his parents and whether he came from a circus family.

You commented on the name Wallace for a lion. In a previous Blog you mentioned Thomas Crouch - Captain Ricardo, who rescued Beaumont from a lion. He was my husband's great grandfather and we are trying to find out more information about him. We know about Beaumont and we have a card with a picture of him, saying his name was Captain Ricardo. Do you have any more information?
