Circus Tickets and Promotions

1950's

Instead of blaming everything under the moon for the current affairs, maybe we should look at the fact that the circus ticket buying public changed, but our "marketing" strategy didn't.

I wonder how they came up with a 17 cent tax to total $1.00? That's more creative then a "free" child's ticket.

Around the 8 minute mark there is some cat action, I wondered who that was...

PK,
That is Norman Barrett's Budgie act.

PK,
Just a guess. Mel Koontz possibly. More importantly, where was Pa Kettle at while Ma was in that jackpot? Of all the "left footed, thumb handed" seems like a candy ass chewing out, don't you think?

That's a good act!

And as for Ma Kettle I think she took it easy on the guy because he'd just been mauled. Besides, she "threw him right off the lot" so that counts for something...

PK,
Good point. She "threw him right off the lot" is a show business intangible that I did not consider, when first passing judgement on the weak reprimand.
