CIRCUS ELEPHANTS STILL ON RAMPAGE
Nelson, B.C., Aug. 3 – Five elephants of the Sells-Floto circus went on the rampage on Friday, when being unloaded from the circus cars at Cranbrook. One man, a boss elephant trainer, was injured. He sustained several broken ribs. The animals, frightened by the barking of a dog, took to the woods beyond the cemetery. Up till Saturday the animals were still missing. They are the same ones that went on a stampede at Edmonton. Trainers declare the high altitude has affected them.
"I suppose "high altitude" is as good of a patch as any."
