For Dan and Radar--Phra Sawet Adulyadej Phahnon Update

In 2007 Thailand issued a set of stamps top, a souvenir sheet middle and a first day cover last, to commemorate the 80 birthday of HM the King which portrayed various images of Phra Sawet Adulyadej Phahnon.

"Phra Sawet Adulyadej Phahon" is the name of the first Royal White Elephant that symbolizes the power of His Majesty the King. It is a male elephant belonging to the Prompong Family in the Atthatis Classification, named the Kamut. The colour of the body is that of the red lotus. It was born in the jungle in Krabi Province and was caught in 1965. Apart from Phra Sawet Adulyadej Phahon, there are twenty more White Elephants that symbolize the august power of the present Monarch.
