Mexican Independence Day--Sept. 16, 2011

Palacio de Bellas Artes

Mexico and Mexico City has more culture and history, in my opinion then any country or city in the world, rivaled by possibly Russia and St. Petersburg. If you have never been to Mexico City, you need to do yourself a favor and go. Luckily for me, we are currently playing in Atizapan De Zaragoza, 30 miles outside Mexico City, $20.00 by cab, so at the end of each wondrous day of animal training I treat myself to some of the most beautiful architecture to be found in the world.

Wade,

I have never been to Mexico City but doubt it compares to Vienna, Austria. Architecturally one of the most beautiful cities I have been to so far.

Marco,
I agree with you about architecture alone. I was only in Vienna once, in 2006 for about 6 hour's and even today I occasionally "visualize" the wonder's I saw. Mexico City has architecture as well as a remarkable ancient history. Imagine a 17 century towering church, with a recently discovered Aztec temple and city escalated in it's surrounding court yard.
