Young elephant seal pups?

That was my guess also. Kinda reminiscent of the old Hagenbeck polar bear cub acts with some 50-60 young animals sitting on chairs. Accepting the past we have to assume it was as easy as clubbing/shooting the mothers to get together a group such as this.
