I just received the tragic news from "Airbex" that famed Circus Producer Paul Kaye(one the left in the fez) has died. My association with Paul was some of the best memories of my performing career. As I have said in the past, he and Irvin Feld were the fairest, most understanding, and most dedicated to their show producers that it has been my pleasure to work with. I shared a dressing room with Paul and Ringmaster Tommy Baker for a number of years and their gone now. I sure wish I had "stopped to smell the roses" more often, but I didn't and now rely on memories. The year I was "downed and browned" at the Turkey Festival by Spartacus, they took me to our dressing room to look me over before loading me on the gurney for the familiar trip to the operating room. The next day when I returned for the show I was met by Paul who said, "I hope you don't think "I" am cleaning the blood off the dressing room floor, Mary!!!!" He then inquired if he could have to torn, tattered, bloody pant's to list on ebay, as he gave me a hug. LOL A friend, who's dedication to his art was inspiring. Like Irvin Feld, one of a kind.
Sleep well, friend. It was a hell of a journey.
