Vintage London Zoo--Year Unknown

The photo above is attributed to the "London Zoo," although I don't know for sure. The photo below is from the London Zoo. Does anyone know who any of these gentlemen are?

The second potcard is a relatively common one. I have a copy of it somewhere. What make you say it is London Zoo, Wade? I have spoken to several people about this one but none have deduced it as London. I have heard mention that there is a Bostock connection and that this may have been one of the menageries in Edinburgh.

Sam,
I went by the assumption, wrong it turns out, that it was the London Zoo because that's what was written on the back in pencil. The gentle man on the right looks familiar as a "Bostock trainer" that I feel I have seen in other pictures. I assumed they were buying lion cubs from the zoo. Now that you mention it, looking closer at the picture it looks like a "space" between the bar's where you would slide a dividing door in on a beast wagon, not normally seen on a zoo cage. The Bostcok connection you mention is interesting. Do you know what year this picture was taken. Didn't Edward Bostock rent the Olympia Exhibition in 1897 for one of his menagerie's? Do you know why it was suggested it may be a Bostock menagerie in,
specifically, Edinburgh?
