The keeper was known as Lecomte,a French sailor and he would have acquired the sealions from the Faukland Islands. The photo is dated circa 1872.he was also one of the few employees to be recorded in the 'daily occurrence sheet' when he died in 1876.I will keep the pic of the clock as a momento.
Cheers ay.

Glenn,
Good information, Glenn. Thank you. Although Lecomte had to wait until he died to be recorded in the "daily occurrence sheet", you were recorded while still breathing. That's where I got the clock picture. Speaking of stealing sealions from the Falkland Islands for the French sailor, that's not what started the beef in the Falkland's in 1982, was it? I know the Queen lost the Type 21 Frigate, the HMS Antelope during that trip.
Be safe at your PC gig, mate. It is much more dangerous then folks realize. I fell over a wheel barrow one time, and tore the knee out of a new pair of wranglers, because I was concentrating extra hard on making that "instantaneous, right on the money bridge" that my friend, expert on the subject Jim Alexander mentions often. LOL

Looks like a Patagonian or Southern sea lion, maybe a young male (unless Lecomte was a small guy). Roby Gasser had Patagonians and Marco Peters might have the only ones in the U.S.

Wade, hope the knee's better.

Jim,
Knee's fine, thanks for asking. Glad your here because I want to ask you a high end pc/target training question. The day I tried to move the wheel barrow with my shin,I threw a box of Dot's(Dot's are what all high line trainers use for rewards. Except Nic didn't like the lime ones, so I replaced them with Crows) across the floor, which Nic immediately sucked up like a shop vac. Now if the field researchers want us to believe that they have the power to reason, why when I told him that he didn't get a reward for the rest of the day, because he had been payed off in advance when he ate all the Dot's at once, he didn't understand the concept of advance like Mark Pierson did when I gave him 20.00 before pay day? If they do have the ability to reason, I think their reasoning skills lie in their amazing ability to jerk us around. The Director of the Knoxville Zoo might suggest Nic did a splendid service, because he cleaned up the dirty floor.
