Excuse me, please. I said, EXCUSE ME, PLEASE!!!!!

Folks have such a difficult time wrapping their brain around "why" an animal turned on someone, or "why" it killed or maimed them. Once again, I think the short answer is "because they can." Maybe their intention is not to kill. But maybe they don't possess the reasoning power or insight to realize that if you whack a 200 human the same way you whack a 5 ton elephant something is going to come loose at best, and at worst something is going to fly across the road. When a tiger attacks he is expecting the same response that he would get from another tiger. When it isn't reciprocated, of course he is going to be disappointed, and continue on the offensive and take every advantage that strength and superior size offers. Like a melon whacked by a superior hammer, you are going to smash.
