This photo appeared on the cover of RBBB’s 1946 program. But if patrons were looking to see Zeke and her leopard, they were sorely disappointed because the show had no wild animal act in 1946. Zeke had been one of the showgirls in the leopards and ladies act of 1945.
In 1946 Damoo Dhotre had the leopards on the Sparks circus. Its owner, James Edgar, was a friend of Aubrey Haley (nee Ringling) one RBBB’s stockholders. Through that friendship, Edgar was able to get the use of the Sparks title for his newly framed show (lasted only two years - -1946 and 1947). And for ’46 he leased the leopard act which by then was owned by RBBB. Damoo and the leopards were back on RBBB in 1947.
