Model of an Indian war elephant, one of the exhibits at The Royal Armories, Leeds. This elephant armor is the only example of it's type surviving in a public collection. It is the largest and heaviest animal armor in the world, it weighs 118kg and dates from around 1600.
Does anyone know how the Royal Armories in Leeds came about acquiring this armor?

hi
not sure how they managed to aquire the armour , But this model use to be on display at the museum in the tower of London . I can remember seeing it there and after visiting the tower recently , the tower seems empty without it . Not sure why it was moved to Leeds
