The 1982 Rose Bowl Parade. Does anyone know whom the off side lead bull is? Is it Reed or Col. Joe?

A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

my gamble is that this is Joe, I base this on the shape of his tusks, his right tusk is a bit longer than his left tusk. Reed has tusks that are almost of equal size.

That is me standing next to Joe. My father is on the other side with Sue.
Cool picture I haven't seen it before.

Dar,
No need to introduce yourself, you are one of CircusNOSpins guest celebrities. LOL So that is the "imfamous" Sue next to Joe, wow. Do you happen to recall the names of the others, and how they lined up in the hitch? I wondered who the young elephants were at the back. I posted this because I recalled a discussion on the "history channel" a while back about a 2 elephant hitch in the Milwaukee Circus Parade that was touted as the greatest thing since creme cheese. I thought folks might like to see an actual by God elephant hitch.
"Save as" the picture if you want it, or I will send it to you. I intend to post it on face book also. A great man your father, and you know how much I liked and respected him. He and Pat Anthony were very kind and encouraging to me as a young man "getting my foot" in the animal training door.
