This place was known as Castle Garden way back in the 19th century.
It is where, in 1850, P. T. Barnum debuted the Swedish Nightingale, Jenny Lind, in an ultra successful concert.
Had Barnum been around at the time he would likely have been Elvis Presley’s manager, such was Barnum’s penchant for corralling and promoting the sensational.
