For Steve Robinson--Central Park Zoo, 1972

"Actually these monkeys look like they are just trying to protect their trainer who is obviously a valued family member!"

Brilliant, Mate. You may be on to something. As early as 1972, the folks at Central Park Zoo let Lulu the gorilla choose the name for her first baby. Apparently, because gorilla's can't speak, they just had her point at the name she liked on placards. Bless her heart, she chose Patty Cake.
