A Blog designed for discussion of topics related to, but not limited to, Circus, Zoos, Animal Training, and Animal Welfare/Husbandry. Sometimes opening up the dialog is the best starting point of all. And if for nothing else when people who agree and don't agree, get together and start discussing it, it will open up a lot of peoples minds. Debate and discussion even amongst themselves opens a window where there wasn't one before.

Wade - I bet that the audiences love this routine [as I do] but the AR people would bag it as being "undignified" for the horse.
Steve,
I don't know if the audience realizes the difficulty in something like this, any more then the AR folks. AR suggests you have demeaned them, just by putting a halter on them.
Wade
This routine is frequently bseen by American cowboy and their trick horses. In the 40s Charles Moroski had the horse laying upside and put a lighted candle on one of the back hoofs and proceeded to extinguish it with a crack of the whip. I saw it and believe me it was impressive.
