1959 above, 2008 below. When folks talk about the economy, tv, video, animal rights, etc. as being the downfall of the circus, I wonder if they can tell us which private, not funded by a government grant, entertainment/sporting event has remained virtually unchanged for 50 years and is still an economic/box office/ticket gate success.
